Location

The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Ordinance, consisting of five Parts, applies to Tamils in property matters. It specifies that movable or immovable property a woman acquires during or before marriage remains her separate property. A woman has the power to deal with her movable property during her lifetime without the consent of her husband. However, a married woman may deal with or dispose of any immovable property to which she is entitled only with the written consent of her husband, except in the case of last wills.

These Regulations amend the Town and Country Planning (Hazardous Substances) (Scotland) Regulations 1993 to implement Article 30 of Directive 2012/18/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances, which amends Council Directive 96/82/EC on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances. They insert “heavy fuel oils” to the list of hazardous substances and controlled quantities in Schedule 1 and concern immunity from prosecution and contravention proceedings.

This Order makes provision in relation to bringing into force Part 10 of, and schedule 3 to, the Land Registration etc. (Scotland) Act 2012 on electronic documents, electronic conveyancing and electronic registration. Schedule 3 makes consequential amendments to the Requirements of Writing (Scotland) Act 1995 in relation to bringing electronic documents into operation and contains transitional provisions in relation with the coming into force of the 2012 Act.

This Order provides with respect to an application for a determination regarding the registration notices and agreements in the Land Register of Scotland. Notices and agreements rejected by the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland can be registered following a determination by the Court of Session, the sheriff court or the Lands Tribunal for Scotland that they are registrable. A determination may be sought in respect of notices and agreements specified by this Order.

This Order prescribes forms for notices required to implement the conversion of ultra-long leases to ownership under the Long Leases (Scotland) Act 2012. They concern, among other things: conversion of reserved sporting rights and conversion of qualifying condition into a climate change burden or a conservation burden.
