The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Presidential Decree validates rates of payment for timber extraction in public forests and rate of payment for citizens extracting timber in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species. In case of cleaning cutting, referring to cutting of dead or damaged standing timber rate of payment shall be reduced by 50 percent and in other types of cleaning cutting rate of payment shall be reduced by 30 percent. Rate of payment includes land tax.
Regional Law No. 59-RZ “On objects of cultural heritage”.
This Regional Law regulates the issues of state protection, conservation, management and promotion of the objects of cultural heritage. Objects of cultural heritage shall be classified as of federal, regional and local (municipal) significance. Regional Government shall be responsible for identification, classification, registration of the objects of cultural heritage and mapping of the boundaries of protection areas around them.
Presidential Decree No. 142 “On disposal of public land plots”.
The President decrees that allotment on lease or in ownership shall be performed exclusively out of stock of public land (excluded agricultural land) with broad public participation and with the participation of Public council under the President of Chechen Republic and Councils of elders of inhabited localities. Plots of land shall be put on auction sale for purchase of the right of lease and the right of ownership.
Regional Law No. 27 amending Regional Law No. 303 "On protected areas".
Article 5 shall be amended to add the following wording: “State nature reserves of regional significance can also be constituted in accordance with the modalities envisaged by item 3 of the Article 23 of the Federal Law “On protected areas” “.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the requirements for determination and mapping of boundaries of land areas containing objects of cultural heritage with a view of conservation and protection of such objects.
