The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Decree-Law No. 43/2017 redefining the Southern Integral Tourism Development Zone of "Baia das Gatas" on the island of São Vicente.
This Decree-Law, redefines the Southern Integral Tourism Development Zone (ZDTI) of "Baia das Gatas" within the island of São Vicente. It establishes new configuration of the above mentioned zone, taking into account that the previous amendment did not take into account the people agglomeration of the Northern ZDTI of the Baia das Gatas that is contained in the Southern ZDTI.
European Communities (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Agriculture) (Amendment) Regulations 2017 (S.I. No. 407 of 2017).
These Regulations amend the European Communities (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Agriculture) Regulations 2011 in various provisions relating to, among other things, application for a screening decision, documents that shall accompany the application, the follow-up on a decisions by the Minister and information for the environmental impact statement. The Regulations also give a new definition of "EIA Directive", “environmental impact assessment” and “EIS”.

La presente Resolución aprueba la Guía de elaboración y explicación para la Incorporación de la Gestión Integral de Riesgo de Desastre en los Planes y Esquemas de Ordenamiento Territorial de Panamá, que es de obligatorio cumplimiento, y que amplía los conceptos técnicos de la Resolución Nº 732-2015, que establece los requisitos y procedimientos para la elaboración y tramitación de los Planes y Esquemas de Ordenamiento Territorial en la República de Panamá para el desarrollo urbano y rural, a nivel local y parcial, adicionando criterios para la gestión integral de riesgo de desastres y adapt
