The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Decreto Nº 681/81 - Reglamenta la Ley Nº 22.428, Régimen legal para el fomento de la acción privada y pública tendiente a la conservación y recuperación de la capacidad productiva de los suelos.
El Decreto, que consta de 29 artículos, implementa la Ley Nº 22.428, de 11 marzo 1981, por la cual se dictan normas para fomentar la aplicación de prácticas conservacionistas del manejo de los suelos por los productores agropecuarios.

The Act makes provision for the collection of taxes on acres of land imposed by Parliament. Rates of levy may vary according to the use of (arable) land.
