This article describes the indicators of the base of cadastral value and their main influencing factors. The base of cadastral value for residential building is summarised and analysed in Latvia municipalities and its territorial units in 2015. The analysis results showed areas with the highest and lowest base of cadastral value for residential building in municipalities of Latvia. Also grouping and analysis of municipalities by the maximum and minimum base of cadastral value for residential building land in rural areas were carried out.

The scientific journal was founded in 1951. The journal presents the results of research and practical advice on the issues of land reclamation and use of reclaimed lands. The journal is included in the list of scientific editions of the Republic of Belarus for the publication of results of dissertation research.

Urban construction is a continuous process. Plans and concepts get changed, but the idea of homogeneous development is crucial, it should go together with the surrounding processes. The Development Strategy of Kuldiga is: “… to conserve its unique cultural heritage – the complex of old town and nature...”, as it is put in the Development Programme of Kuldiga [1]. This article describes the principles of formation of information subsoil monitoring system, the main factors of influence the mining industry on the environment, which predetermine the necessity of monitoring subsurface facilities and the development of their accounting systems.

В данной статье рассмотрены принципы формирования информационной системы мониторинга за состоянием недропользования, основные факторы влияния горного производства на окружающую среду, предопределяющие необходимость осуществления мониторинга объектов недропользования и разработки их системы учета.

The article discusses the basic concepts of sustainable land use. The analysis of land use in Kazakhstan for sustainable land use in the formation of the economy was carried out, the economic foundations of a balanced land use were defined as well as the ways for their implementation were identified. The analysis of changes in the areas of land of different categories during the period between the years 1991 and 2015 was carried out. It was established that sharply decreased the area of agricultural land, and greatly increased the areas of reserve land, human settlements and woodland.

The media frequently refers to the concept of abandoned land. The reasons for its occurrence are discussed and the ways to diminish the problem are being searched for. Various sources of information were used for the research. They enabled the authors to identify the concept of abandoned lands. In addition, the situation of abandoned lands was analysed and causes of occurrence of such lands in one cadastral area of mid-Lithuania municipality were defined.
