La presente Ley Hipotecaria norma el derecho hipotecario, cuya finalidad es la armonización de los asientos del Registro de la Propiedad. El Registro de la Propiedad tiene por objeto la inscripción o anotación de los actos y contratos relativos al dominio y demás derechos reales sobre bienes inmuebles. Las expresadas inscripciones o anotaciones se harán en el Registro en cuya circunscripción territorial radiquen los inmuebles.

This Law amends and supplements articles 17 and 18 of Law No. 9948 of 2008 dealing with the already-started land distribution procedures regulated by previous Laws No. 7501 of 1991 and No. 8312 of 1998 and provides local government structures with more time to finalize the documentation. It also adds article 19 according to which the decisions of the municipalities’ and communes’ councils and the documentation of land property completed by them according to law 9948 of 2008 during the period of 31 December 2013 to the date this law enters into force are considered valid. This Law aims at ensuring the sustainable development of the territory through the rational use of land and natural resources; assessing the actual and future potential of the territory development on a local and national level by balancing natural resources with economic demand and public and private interests.

La presente Decreto modifica el que tiene por objeto establecer los mecanismos para la adecuada implementación de las medidas de asistencia, atención y reparación integral a las víctimas para la materialización de sus derechos constitucionales, en lo concierne a la participación del Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público dentro de los subcomités técnicos del Sistema de Atención y Reparación a las Víctimas.

Article 15 shall be amended to add the following wording: “All the objects of cultural heritage located on the regional territory shall be subject to mandatory state registration through formation of the state regional register of the objects of cultural heritage”.

This Regional Law regulates relations originating in the sphere of conservation, management, promotion and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage. State registration of the objects of cultural heritage shall include: (a) identification, inspection and listing of the objects of cultural heritage; (b) formation of the register of the identified objects of cultural heritage; (c) data collection related to the objects of cultural heritage; and (d) monitoring of the objects of cultural heritage.

The present Agreement between the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada establishes – after 21 years of negotiations - the self-governance and self-determination of the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. The Agreement establishes a government-to-government relationship between Sioux Valley Dakota Nation and Canada. Once put into effect, this self-government Agreement will provide Sioux Valley Dakota Nation with greater control over the decisions that affect its community members.

The present Agreement between the Miawpukek First Nation and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Newfoundland and Labrador establishes the framework of a modern First Nation Government forming the basis for negotiating the Final Agreement.

For the purpose of the present Act "Northern Flood Agreement" means the Agreement dated December 16, 1977 and concluded between a) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, b) Her Majesty the Queen in right of Manitoba, c) the Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board, and d) the Northern Flood Committee Inc.; "Norway House Cree Nation" means the Norway House Cree Nation, also known as the Norway House Indian Band, a band within the meaning of the Indian Act (Canada).

This Act amends the Conservation Areas Act in sections 18,19, 20 and 24 with respect to transfer of functions of the Minister to the Managing Director of the Conservation and Environment Authority (relating to the Register of conservation areas). It also repeals section 23 and allows the Managing Director to issue a certificate in the prescribed form certifying that an area described in the certificate has been registered in the Register (sect. 22).
