El presente Acuerdo tiene por objeto establecer los procedimientos que la dependencia encargada de tierras, sea la Subsecretaría de Tierras y Reforma Agraria o la unidad administrativa que la reemplace, por delegación de la Autoridad Agraria Nacional, debe ejecutar para dar cumplimiento a las disposiciones contenidas en la Ley Orgánica de Tierras Rurales y Territorios Ancestrales y su Reglamento General de aplicación.

This Act amends the Local Government Act in provisions concerning land matters consequential upon the enactment of the Land Acquisition (Amendment) Act 2016 and the Land Act 2016. Also the word "Local Authority" is replaced by the word " Local Government Authority" wherever it occurs in the principal Act and provisions regarding the delegation of functions to committee by an Authority, the disposal of land, the designation of an area as a rateable area, the valuation of property, and charges on property. Three new sections are inserted in the principal Act (78A-C).

Ordinance relating to the Building Law.

The present Ordinance enforces the Building Law of 12 June 1994. Article 1 establishes that the competent Department shall prepare the cantonal structural plan in cooperation with the cantonal offices. The Department shall ensure the participation of municipalities and shall consult federal authorities and neighbouring cantons. Other interested parties shall also be heard. These Regulations amend the Regulations made under the Sectional Titles Act, 1986 with respect to various matters, with various references to the Sectional Titles Schemes Management Act, 2011. Matters concern mainly documentation and certification. Regulation 30 on management rules as contemplated in section 35 (2) (a) of the Sectional Titles Act, 1986 and regulation 39 on arbitration are repealed.

Public Lands Ordinance (Cap. 116).

This Ordinance makes provision with respect to the compulsory acquisition of lands for public purposes and compensation for such acquisition to the landowner. It sets out the procedure for such acquisition and subsequent registration of land. The Governor may be required to purchase the rest of a piece of land if only a part was acquired and the rest is rendered useless to the owner. It shall be lawful for the Minister to resell any land purchased under this rule. The Ordinance also makes provision for resolution of disputed regarding compensation, etc.
