Cadastral Survey Act (Cap. 21).

This Act provides rules for the carrying out of cadastral surveys of the island of Mahé and of such other islands as may be approved by the Minister. Any person appointed by the President as cadastral surveyors shall have all the rights and privileges of a land surveyor licensed under the Land Survey Act. The Act sets out duties and powers of cadastral surveyors and all persons acting under their orders and prohibits obstruction of their work.

Law on spatial information in the Canton Aargau (Cantonal Spatial Information Law).

The present Law enforces the Federal Spatial Information Act of 5 October 2010. The Law lays down provisions relating to the enforcement of federal legislation in the field of geographic information and the collection, management and use of spatial data for the area of the canton Aargau. Furthermore, the Law creates conditions for a cantonal spatial data infrastructure.

Geo-Data Access Act.

The purpose of the present Act is to establish a national spatial data infrastructure. The Act provides the legal framework for: 1) access to spatial data, spatial data and metadata services of spatial data holding agencies and 2) the use of these data and services, especially for measures which may have some impact on the environment. Land Registration Act, 2012 (Cap. 300).

The Act principally concerns the registration of interests in land. This Act shall apply to: (a) registration of interests in all public land as declared by Article 62 of the Constitution; (b) registration of interests in all private land as declared by Article 64 of the Constitution; and (c) registration and recording of community interests in land.The National Land Commission in consultation with national and county governments may, by order in the Gazette, constitute an area or areas of land to be a land registration unit and may at any time vary the limits of any such units.

Spatial Information Act.

The purpose of the present Act is to transpose into national legislation the Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2007 establishing an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE). Article 1 of the above-mentioned Act establishes that the present Act regulates the creation, maintenance and organization of a national spatial data infrastructure. In particular the Act aims to provide authorities, economy, science and the public with spatial information in a sustainable, up to date, quick and simple way.

Federal School of Surveying Act.

This Act provides for the establishment of the Federal School of Surveying and the establishment and composition of the Council of the School. The School shall provide courses of instruction, training and research in surveying, cartography, photography, lithography, hydrography, photogrametry, remote sensing and other related courses and carry out other specified tasks.

This Decree-Law, consisting of 22 articles, regulates the institutionalization of the Information Territorial System of Cape Verde (SIT-CV). It establishes norms and requirements to be satisfied in order to manage this Spatial Data of Cape Verde (IDE-CV). It also defines competencies of the Coordinating Committee for Cartography and Cadastre (CCCC), as well as the respective procedures for the electronic access to data for their use in order to be able to manage and publish geographical information for all the National institutions.
