This Regional Law regulates the issues of preparation, elaboration and location of plots of land on cadastre scheme or cadastre map on the respective territory. It shall be applicable to: (a) public or municipal land allotted for housing construction; (b) public or municipal land destined for sale; (c) public agricultural land allotted for peasant and family farming. Cadastre scheme shall contain boundaries of plots of land, land area, location and “validated” print.

The present Act lays down provisions relating to land survey in the province of New Brunswick. In particular, the Act sets out details of land surveying procedures. Section 2 establishes that the Service New Brunswick shall establish and maintain a system of plane rectangular coordinates for locating points on the earth’s surface. A surveyor with at least five years experience as such shall be designated as Director of Surveys by Service New Brunswick.

This Act provides for rules for the practice of land surveys by qualified land surveyors who are registered and licensed under this Act. It concerns in particular survey plans and the conduct of surveys. It also defines the functions of the Ministry responsible for lands for purposes of this Act and establishes the Land Professionals Registration Committee (Survey) and the Samoan Institute of Land Professionals.

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the keeping of the land register in Saarland. Land survey as well as running the land register are both public tasks which according to article 2 of the present Law are carried out by the Cadastre, Survey and Mapping Office and other public entities. Regional Law No. 290-OZ “On land-use planning documentation”.

This Regional Law establishes the modalities of elaboration and submittal of land-use planning documentation by the competent bodies of local self-government. Decision-making related to land-use planning projects shall be made (or rejected) by the competent body within ten days from the date of submittal of land-use planning documentation.

Nordrhein Westfalen Survey and Cadastre Law.

The present Act lays down provisions relating to the activity of land surveyors in Québec. Section 2 establishes that all the persons qualified to practise the profession of land surveyor in Québec constitute a professional order called the “Ordre professionnel des arpenteurs-géomètres du Québec”. Section 34 contains the practice of the profession of land surveyor.

Land Title and Survey Authority Act ([SBC 2004] Chapter 66).

Section 2 establishes the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia as a corporation without share capital and consists of a board of directors appointed under this Act. The purposes of the Authority are to: a) manage, operate and maintain the land title and survey systems of British Columbia; b) facilitate the execution of Crown grants, and c) carry on other necessary or advisable activities related to land title or survey systems.
