The purpose of the present Law is to lay down rules aimed at the establishment of the infrastructure for spatial information in Upper Austria with a view to environmental policies and activities which may have an impact on the environment. The text consists of 20 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Metadata, spatial data sets and spatial data services (2); Network services (3); Use of spatial data and spatial data services by competent authorities (4); Coordination and monitoring (5); Legal protection (6); Final provisions (7). Land Survey Law.

The present Law lays down provisions relating to land survey and the running of the land cadastre. Article 1 of the above-mentioned Law lists the functions of the official surveying and mapping, such as: 1) national land survey; 2) running of land cadastre; 3) conducting property surveys, including demarcation of parcel of lands; 4) producing evidence of borders; 5) providing geo-data information.

Professional Surveyors Registration Act 1996.

This Act requires surveyors to be registered with the Professional Surveyors Registration Council established as a body corporate under this Act. The Council shall be responsible for: (a) the promotion and maintenance of high technical standards among registered surveyors; (b) the exercise of disciplinary control over registered surveyors; and (c) such other matters of professional concern to registered surveyors as the Council may determine. The Act sets out qualifications for registration. The Council shall establish a Code of Conduct for registered surveyors.

The present Act lays down provisions relating to demarcation and zoning of land, especially used in the new Länder of the former German Democratic Republic where huge collective areas needed to change their boundaries. The text consists of 23 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Separation of land and right of use (1); Execution of land separation (2); Effects of land separation (3); Legal protection, relation to other proceedings (4).

Official Survey Act 1978.

This Act makes provision for official surveys in Norfolk Islands. The Administrator shall appoint a person to be the Surveyor-General for Norfolk Island. The Surveyor-General may from time to time redraw the Official Survey in accordance with this Act. The Act specifies details to be included in the Official Survey.

Ley Nº 59 - Crea la Autoridad Nacional de Administración de Tierras.

La presente Ley crea la Autoridad Nacional de Administración de Tierras, que unifica las competencias de la Dirección general de Catastro, la Dirección Nacional de Reforma Agraria, el Programa nacional de administración de tierras y el Instituto Geográfico Nacional Tommy Guardia, con la finalidad de que regule y asegure el cumplimiento y aplicación de las políticas, leyes y reglamentos en materia de tierras y demás bienes inmuebles.

Land Administration Authority Act, 2010 (Act No. 9 of 2010).

This Act establishes the Land Administration Authority as a body corporate and provides with respect to its functions and powers and its administration and management. The Authority shall be an agency of the Government of Lesotho responsible for land administration and shall operate under the general supervision of the Minister responsible for land matters.
