The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to recording of estates in land. The Land Register is held by the local county courts and deals with the business of registration of legal interests in land. The Land Register consists of Land Register Judges (Grundbuchrichter) and special clerks (Rechtspfleger). The normal business of registration is done by the clerks.

Saxon Land Survey and Cadastre Ordinance.

These Regulations, made by the Minister under Section 20 of the Land Surveyors Act, stipulate that a person, on whose behalf a survey of State Land is carried out by a Government Surveyor, shall pay to Government the appropriate fee specified in the Schedule. The Regulations shall not apply to the island of Rodrigues.

L’article 1er établit que le canton gère les données géographiques de façon à ce que ses services administratifs puissent les utiliser de manière efficace. Il exploite des systèmes de traitement de données adaptés à cette fin.
