This Decision approves the adjusted master plan on socio-economic development of Dong Nai province through 2020, with a vision toward 2025, with the following principal contents: To further bring into play the existing comparative advantages and internal resources in association with mobilizing external resources to maintain a fast and stable growth rate. To develop industries in depth and in an environment-friendly manner, prioritize the attraction of investment in hi-tech industrial projects and supporting industries of mechanical engineering, electricity and electronics.

This paper presents an empirical methodology for the evaluation of the benefits and costs of land use planning. The technique is applied in the context of the Town and Country Planning System of the UK, and examines the gross and net benefits of land use regulation and their distribution across income groups. The results show that the welfare and distributional impacts can be large.

The Aligned National Action Programme (NAP) for Grenada’s Commitment under the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and Drought is a cross-sectoral national programme of Grenada for the period of 2015-2020. Its main objective is to prevent land degradation, and restore 10% of degraded land by 2020, and mitigate the effects of drought and other climatic shocks.The NAP is structured around five Operational Objectives. The first Operation Objective is Advocacy, Awareness Raising and Education.

Context: Both global change and policy reform will affect the implementation of the National Ecological Network (NEN) in the Netherlands. Global change refers to a combination of changing groundwater tables arising from climate change and improved economic prospects for farming. Policy reform refers to the abolition of an intermediary organization that organizes land trades with the support of a national land bank. Objective: In this paper we evaluate the effects of these factors on future land acquisition for the NEN.

The Omo-Turkana basin stretches from southern Ethiopia into Kenya. Temperatures in the region are rising and droughts occur with higher frequency and intensity. As Ethiopian pastoralists venture further south in search of water and grazing land, conflicts with Kenyan pastoralists and fishermen are intensifying. Given their trans-boundary and protracted nature, these conflicts pose a particular challenge to local peace building and disarmament efforts.
