La présente loi adopte le Schéma Directeur d'Aménagement et d'Urbanisme (USDAU) de l'agglomération de Djibouti. Le Schéma Directeur d'Aménagement et d'Urbanisme de Djibouti s'applique dans le périmètre délimité tel que figuré dans les plans joints dans le document et s'étend dans ses limites Sud, sur certaines zones de la Région d'Arta.

Cooperation between the Republic of Djibouti and FAO has steadily increased since the representation was opened in 2008. Assistance has covered a range of areas concerning agricultural, livestock and fisheries production. Over the past decade, the country has been affected by a series of major droughts which have severely affected livelihoods, particularly in rural communities.

Land degradation and desertification are among the biggest environmental challenges of our time. In the last 40 years, we lost nearly a third of the world’s arable farmland due to erosion, just as the number of people to be fed from it almost doubled. That’s why the UN General Assembly declared 2015 as the International Year of Soils.

FAO and the Global Mechanism of the UNCCD have joined efforts to prepare this discussion paper on sustainable financing for FLR. It provides an overview of existing funding sources and financial instruments that could be used and adapted specifically for the implementation of FLR efforts at the national, regional and global levels.

Cooperation between Finland and FAO has been ongoing since the Organization was established in 1945. Finland has contributed as well as financially, through active participation in FAO’s work and has been a key donor for projects around the world. As a traditional partner in FAO’s Assistant Professional Officer (APO) Programme, Finland has frequently financed APOs since 1965.
