This Decree-Law, consisting of four Chapters, creates the new structure of the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Planning (MAHOT). It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned government department, responsible for the definition, coordination and implementation of policy in environmental matters and geological resources, water and sanitation, decentralization and regional development, urban planning, housing and planning, cartography, geodesy, cadastre, as well as relations with Local Authorities and Development Civil Society Organizations.
