Conflito por causa de terra indígena mata 13 na Guatemala; há crianças e mulheres entre as vítimas | Land Portal

Aldeias Chiquix e Ixtahuacán disputam a região.

 

Pelo menos 13 pessoas morreram no oeste da Guatemala, incluindo mulheres, três crianças e um policial, devido a um antigo conflito de terras entre aldeias indígenas, informou a polícia neste sábado (18).

“Devemos informar ao público que 12 pessoas falecidas foram localizadas na aldeia Chiquix, ao lado de Nahualá, limite territorial no conflito com (o município vizinho) Santa Catarina Ixtahuacán", afirmou em nota a Polícia Nacional Civil (PNC), que também informou a morte de um policial.

O confronto também deixou dois feridos.
