This Act provides rules for the prospecting for and mining of minerals specified in the First Schedule to this Act. Save to the extent provided for in this Act, it shall not apply to matters relating to petroleum and hydrocarbon gases. The Cabinet Secretary responsible for mining, the Principal Secretary of the responsible ministry and any person shall be guided by the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution and in particular Articles 10, 66 (2), 201 (c) and (d), and 232 of the Constitution and the principles of leadership and integrity.

With a view to protect and improve the agricultural environment, to prevent pollution and protect ecosystem, the Regulations are formulated. The agricultural environment is defined as including land, water for agricultural purposes, air and other factors which have an impact on the survival and development of agricultural resources.The purpose of these Regulations is to protect and improve agricultural environment, prevent and control agricultural environmental pollution and ecological destruction, rationally develop and utilize agricultural natural resources.

This Regulation sets forth principles and procedures of works and operations regarding private and public forests. This Regulation includes provisions on management and conservation of private and public forests, forest cadastre, forest planning, inspection, environmental impact assessment, as well as permit processes for works and operations regarding private and public forests.

This Regulation, consisting of 16 sections divided into four Parts and completed by four Schedules, implements the Coastal Protection and Management Act 1995. It approves coastal zone map—Act, s 18C. For section 18C of the Act, the Coastal zone map for Queensland, certified by the chief executive on 3 October 2011, is approved as the coastal zone map. The exact location of the boundary of the coastal zone shown on the map is held in digital electronic form by the department.

This Regulation makes minor changes in “definitions” section in Article 4 of the Regulation. This Regulation amends Article 2 regarding the scope of the Regulation, Paragraph 3 of Article 5 regarding land tenure, Articles 6, 7 and 10 regarding competition for land tenure, Article 9 regarding document search of the Commission, and Articles 12, 13 and 14 regarding certification for electricity generation.

The Law determines principles for spatial development planning in Latvia. Its purpose is to ensure such spatial development planning that would raise the quality of the living environment, ensure sustainable, effective and rational use of territories and other resources, as well as targeted and balanced development of economy.

This Code of Forest Harvesting Practices seeks to provide a set of guidelines to forest operators for carrying out sustainable and improved harvesting operations. It applies to all harvesting operations within Liberia’s natural forests. It includes among other things, social environmental and social performance requirements for timber logging and post-harvesting activities.

This Law establishes the State Policy to Fight and Prevent Desertification within the State of Goiás.

The protection and management of environment are among the pillars of Vision 2020. The objective of the Government is that by 2020, it will have built a nation in which pressure on natural resources, particularly on land, water, biomass and biodiversity, has significantly been reduced and the process of environmental pollution and degradation has been reversed; a nation in which the management and protection of these resources and environment are more rational and well regulated in order to preserve and bequeath to future generations the basic wealth necessary for sustainable development.
