This Ordinance establishes the Physical Planning Board and provides rules relative to (control on) planning and development. Other administrative bodies for purposes of this Act are the Minister and the Director of Planning. The Director may, and if so required by the Governor shall, submit to the Minister proposals for the preparation of a development plan. There shall be various types of development permission, including a permission to subdivide land.

These Regulations provide a national environmental standard for activities on pieces of land whose soil may be contaminated in such a way to be a risk to human health.The activities are: removing or replacing a fuel storage system; sampling the soil; disturbing the soil; subdividing land; and changing the use of the piece of land. The activities are classified into permitted activities, controlled activities, restricted discretionary activities, or discretionary activities.

This Ordinance establishes the Council for Physical Development and provides rules for town and country planning and development in general in Aruba. The Minister shall prepare a Physical Development Plan, which contains general indications of proposed development. The Plan shall be adopted by State Decree. Directives based on the Plan may determine which development activities may be carried out only with an authorization of the Minister. Such activities may include the mining, the felling of trees, afforestation and cultivation of land and the establishment of waste reception facilities.

This Directive lays down rules on integrated prevention and control of pollution arising from industrial activities, particularly those referred to in Chapters II to VI (which include combustion plants, waste incineration plants and installations and activities using organic solvents as well as installations producing titanium dioxide). It sets out provisions to prevent or reduce emissions into air, water and land and to prevent the generation of waste, in order to achieve a high level of protection of the environment.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of keeping plot of land, common (joint) property of condominiums. It establishes mandatory compliance with environmental safety standards in the place of disposal of domestic waste, sanitation and cleaning service of land plots pertaining to condominiums and amenity planting. Joint owners shall ensure conservation of greenery and keeping land plots in accordance with the established ecological standards.

This policy brief focuses on ecotourism in north-eastern Kenya and is based on the analysis of two key existing ecotourism industry models in Laikipia and Isiolo. The purpose of the work was to provide the Government of Kenya (GoK) policymakers and private sector investors with a deeper understanding of the eco-tourism industry already established in the region. As highlighted, the study is based on two different ecotourism models (and four enterprises) in pro-pastoral communities in Laikipia and Isiolo using a framework of common qualitative measures of analysis.
