Enormous improvements in human welfare have taken place over the past two centuries, but these have been unevenly distributed and have come at a lasting cost of degradation of our natural environment. At the same time, we cannot stop the engines of growth, because much more economic progress is still needed in order for people in developing countries to have a decent living. But using the traditional environmentally irresponsible development paths is no longer defensible.

The present Law enforces the Federal Land Use Planning Act of 22 June 1976. The purpose of the present Law is to achieve a balanced and economical use of land with a view to the natural living conditions, protection of nature and cultural heritage. The text consists of 68 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Planning law (II); Planning regulations (III); Legal protection (IV); Penalties (V); Transitional and final provisions (VI).

La presente Ley tiene por objeto regular la gestión de los residuos impulsando medidas que prevengan su generación y mitiguen los impactos adversos sobre la salud humana y el medio ambiente asociados a su generación y gestión, mejorando la eficiencia en el uso de los recursos. Tiene asimismo como objeto regular el régimen jurídico de los suelos contaminados.

This Order amends the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995 in Part 40 of Schedule 2 in relation to England only. The amendments concern installation of Part 40 of Schedule 2 installation of certain microgeneration equipment on a dwellinghouse or within its curtilage or, in some cases, blocks of flats.

The aim of this Proclamation is to improve management and utilization of land and land resources for agricultural purposes. It applies to all land that lies outside of municipal borders. The Proclamation defines the right to acquire, free of charge, rural land by adult residents of the region, whose livelihood depends on agriculture, and other subjects. It also defines land use rights of peasants, pastoralists and semi-pastoralists and provides for the protection of such rights.
