The implementation of the Ogiek judgment is in the hearts and the spirits of the Ogiek people and the indigenous peoples globally. On 26 May 2017, we received the judgment at the African Court on Human and Peoples Rights (ACtHPR) in Arusha Tanzania, after a 12-year process that started in Kenyan courts and involved the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights (ACHPR), The Gambia, besides the Court.
This fact sheet presents the results of a study carried out between Dezember 2016 and March 2017 by the Instituto del Bien Común (IBC) on the possible obstacles of land titling of native communities in the region of Ucayali. The study is developed in coordination with the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Ucayali (DRAU) and indigenous regional organizations, with support from the German development cooperation, implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, through the ProTierras Comunales project.
A partir de esta autodemarcación, el pueblo y las comunidades indígenas Pemon se han aglutinado en torno al territorio y ha permitido el desarrollo de una perspectiva cultural para enfrentar las amenazas que se ciernen sobre el mismo. Relata cómo a partir de la década de los 2000, los indígenas guaraníes que habitaban Pananti APG, comunidad de Yacuiba, Bolivia, comenzaron a recuperar su identidad cultural y a defender sus derechos a su territorio. Por ello, alrededor de 20 familias guaraníes, principalmente lideradas por mujeres, defendieron sus tierras a través de trámites de titulación de una parte de Pananti.

La Comunidad Mapuche o Lof Boyen Mapu Trangol II está ubicada en lacomuna o municipio de Victoria que tiene 24.000 habitantes. El estadochileno se divide actualmente en 15 regiones, que fueron numeradasdurante el régimen de Augusto Pinochet. Boyen Mapu, como llamaremosen adelante esta pequeña comunidad mapuche.
