The purpose of this Directive is to achieve integrated prevention and control of pollution arising from certain industrial activities (those listed in Annex I), including energy and mineral industries, production and processing of metals, chemical industries and waste management. These provisions set out measures to prevent or reduce emissions into the air, water and land, without any prejudice to Directive 85/337/EEC and other relevant European Community provisions. In particular, the Directive defines the legal framework for issuing permits to carry out the activities above-mentioned.

The present Act lays down provisions relating to soil improvement in the Principality of Liechtenstein. Article 1 establishes that soil improvements are measures having the purpose to maintain, increase or restore the productivity of the soil, as well as to facilities its cultivation. In particular, the Act regulates the: a) consolidation of agricultural and forestry land; b) land re-allocation; c) other soil improvement measures; d) public contributions to soil improvement.

Law on Coastal Zone and Inland.

The purpose of this Act, which consists of 14 Articles, is to determine the boundary of the coastal zone and inland as well as to regulate provisions regarding their ownership and use. According to the Act, any construction in the determined limit of the coastal zone and inland is prohibited unless for necessary public facilities. Any trespassing to these limits or any destruction of their current situation may lead to persecution by authorities.
