La presente Ley tiene por objeto el marco normativo relativo a la propiedad y la concesión de los hidrocarburos, los cuales pertenecen al dominio directo, inalienable e imprescriptible del Estado (art. 1º). Dentro de los 50 km de las fronteras nacionales, ningún extranjero podrá adquirir ni poseer propiedades inmuebles por ningún título, con la excepción del caso de necesidad nacional declarada mediante ley expresa.

The purpose of this Act is to prescribe basic matters regarding the designation and management of zones, districts, etc. in relation to the use of land to ensure transparency in the regulation of land use, thereby to reduce the inconvenience of citizens in land use and to contribute to the development of the national economy. This Act makes provision for the compulsory acquisition of private land by the state. Part II sets out the procedures for compulsory acquisition of land: Whenever the Minister is satisfied that the need is likely to arise for the acquisition of some particular land under section 6, the Commissioner may cause notice thereof to be published in the Gazette, and shall deliver a copy of the notice to every person who appears to him to be interested in the land (sect. 5).

The present Act defines how resource development shall be managed in Nunavut. In particular, the Act: 1) establishes in legislation the continuation of the Nunavut Planning Commission (NPC) and Nunavut Impact Review Board (NIRB) and clearly defines their powers, duties and functions, including how their commissioners/board members are appointed. It also clearly defines the roles and authorities of Inuit, and the federal and territorial government; 2) creates a "single window" approach to the review process.

Benishangul Gumz Regional State Rural Land Administration and Use Proclamation No. 85/2010.

This Proclamation of the Benishangul Gumz Regional State shall apply to any rural land found in the region. It mainly is concerned with land rights land use and administration of rural lands. Land is declared the common property of the state and people and it shall not be subjected to sale or other means of exchange. Any peasant who legally resides in the region shall have the right to hold land irrespective of gender or any other discrimination. Land administration shall be implemented through community participation. Rural land shall not be expropriated unless to use for public services.

This Act sets conditions for the exercise of land survey activities. In order to fulfill this capacity, a person must be of legal age, is not under bankruptcy, has passed the Danish surveyor exam and has at least 3 years’ experience following the surveying exam, and has participated in the commonly occurring cadastral works by recruitment from a practicing surveyor – either by Survey and Cadastre Authority of the Jutland department or cadastral authority in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg Municipality.
