A surveyor is a professional person with the academic qualifications and technical expertise to practise the science of measurement; to assemble and assess land and geographic related information.
Since 2002, the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia has been organising annual workshops to discuss instruments like land consolidation, land banking and land market development. This has created a European wide network of professionals from different countries and different organisations under FAO guidance.
The ISK Regional Conference is an annual event organized by the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya which is the professional body for landed professionals in Kenya.
