These Regulations set out the form of an application under section 7(3) of the Cadastral Survey Act 2011. Such application shall be accompanied by the appropriate fee specified in the Second Schedule. Section 7 stipulates that any interested person may apply for the assignment of a Parcel Identification Number (PIN) in respect of any plot of land or unit to be assigned by the Chief Surveyor.

These Regulations amend the Registration Duty Act in Parts III, IV and VII of the First Schedule, which specifies rates of registration duty.

In particular, the purpose of the present Law is to provide authorities both at national and cantonal level, economy, science and the public with spatial information. The present Ordinance implements the Federal Agricultural Soil Act of 4 October 1991. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the valuation of plots of land. Article 1 defines the term “parcel of land” for the purpose of the present Ordinance. Article 1 establishes that the competent Land Registry shall run an Alpine Register on mountains and pastures belonging to the Canton Appenzell Innerrhoden. The present Law enforces the Federal Spatial Information Act of 5 October 2010. The Law lays down provisions relating to the enforcement of federal legislation in the field of geographic information and the collection, management and use of spatial data for the area of the Canton Appenzell-Ausserrhoden. Furthermore, the Law creates conditions for a cantonal spatial data infrastructure.

The present Act regulates: a) the execution of the federal geo-information legislation; b) the collection, tracking, management and access of geodata under cantonal law; c) the administration and access to municipal land use plans; d) the cadastral map of line systems. The present Ordinance implements both the Cantonal Spatial Information Law of 16 November 2011 and the Federal Spatial Information Act of 5 October 2007. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the enforcement of federal legislation in the field of geographic information and the collection, management and use of spatial data for the area of the canton Basel-Stadt. The text consists of 28 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (A); Access (B); Use (C); Fees (D); Organization (E); Transitional provisions (F).

The present Ordinance implements the Cantonal Spatial Information Law of 26 March 2012. In particular, the Ordinance applies to basic geodata of cantonal and municipal law. The text consists of 37 articles divided in 9 Parts: General provisions (1); Organization (2); Content and quality (3); Tracing, availability, data transfer (4); Geospatial metadata (5); Access and use (6); Geo services (7); Exchange of spatial data between public authorities (8); Digital underground cadastre (9).

This Order specifies in the Schedule fees to be charged and taken by the Property Registration Authority (established under section 9 of the Registration of Deeds and Title Act 2006) for a service provided in the Land Registry. No registration shall be made and no other transaction shall be done or completed until: (a) the appropriate fee has been paid to the Authority, or (b) the Authority is satisfied that arrangements for the payment of the appropriate fee have been made.
