HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation (or Helvetas in brief) is a Swiss association for international cooperation. It was founded in 1955 as the first private organization for development co-operation in Switzerland.

Helvetas is an international network of independent affiliate member organisations working in the field of development cooperation and emergency response. The main focus of our work is on international projects.

Our purpose is to provide insight and ideas to drive more effective use of resources in international development. We monitor and evaluate what works, where and why.

We provide independent, professional advice to organisations looking to scrutinise their aid programmes. Our work provides accountability to the ultimate funders of the programmes, whether they are taxpayers or philanthropists, as well as learning for the broader international community to improve the way that development is done.

ICMA is a not-for-profit membership association, headquartered in Switzerland, that serves the needs of its wide range of member firms in global capital markets. As at October 2019 it has more than 580 members in 62 countries.

Among its members are private and public sector issuers, banks and securities houses, asset managers and other investors, capital market infrastructure providers, central banks, law firms and others.

We are the development agency of the African Union, coordinating and executing priority regional and continental development projects to promote regional integration towards the accelerated realisation of Agenda 2063 – Africa’s vision and action plan. We are mandated to strengthen capacity of Member States and regional bodies.

Background The Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (MOFEC), formerly known as the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, is a national entity located in Ethiopia. Its mandate is to oversee the planning and implementation of development programmes, including those that address climate change.

Our work is aimed at development policy and practice. This includes the design and assessment of interventions in sectors ranging from agriculture to finance and education to media, and in the wider business environment. In all our work we seek to marry a strong operational perspective with knowledge of the development context and a commitment to wider development objectives. Foundation for Civil Society (FCS) is an independent Tanzanian non-profit organization that provides grants and capacity building services to civil society organizations (CSOs) so as to enhance their effectiveness in enabling engagement of citizens in development processes. It was established 15 years ago by development stakeholders in Tanzania.

The United Nations Statistics Division is committed to the advancement of the global statistical system. We compile and disseminate global statistical information, develop standards and norms for statistical activities, and support countries' efforts to strengthen their national statistical systems. We facilitate the coordination of international statistical activities and support the functioning of the United Nations Statistical Commission as the apex entity of the global statistical system.

The Flemish Interuniversity Council (Vlaamse Interuniversitaire Raad/VLIR) is a public utility foundation that was established in the 1970s. Within the VLIR, universities discuss matters that concern them all. They jointly formulate policy advice to the ministers responsible for education and research, and improve their internal effect through cooperation. Consultation themes include education policy, research policy, university management in the areas of finance and personnel, social services for students, diversity and equal opportunities.

Kindernothilfe (German for "Supporting children in need") was founded in Germany in 1959 as a Christian organisation to support vulnerable and marginalized children and youth to develop their full potentials. Kindernothilfe Austria was founded in 1996, followed by Kindernothilfe Switzerland in 2004 and Kindernothilfe Luxembourg in 2009.

We partner with local non-governmental organisations to implement 609 projects in 32 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean; most of them are faith-based and ecumenically Christian.
