The analysis of agricultural land patterns of the Altai Region

In the structure of the land fund of the Altai Region the category of agricultural lands is the most extensive, it is more than 11.5 million hectares. More than 6.1 million hectares belong to individual citizens. There are more than 5 million hectares of state and municipal ownership. The rest of the lands are owned by legal entities. There were analyzed the natural and climatic conditions of the land fund of the Altai Region and its patterns in the natural subzones.

Use of geospatial analysis methods in land management and cadastre

The possibilities of using the geospatial analysis methods for visualizing land monitoring data and modelling the spatial distribution of the main agrochemical soil indicators are discussed in the article. The research was conducted within the limits of land use of RUP “Uchkhoz BGSHA” (Republic of Belarus, Mogilev region, Goretsky district). The total area of the surveyed territory was 3187.0 hectares. The geospatial analysis of the spatial distribution of humus, mobile phosphorus, mobile potassium and pHKCl was carried out using the Geostatistical Analyst module of the ArcGIS software.

The analysis results of common terms in land management and their interpretations in normative-legal acts of Ukraine are presented. It have been established collisions and significant differences in the wording of even such common terms as a land parcel, a boundary of land parcel, a size of land parcel, etc. The purpose of the study is to identify collisions and contradictions of some key terms used in land surveying and geodetic works, as well as development of concrete proposals for improving and perfection the relevant terms.

A characteristic of local natural environment structured in the green matrix system of Kohoku New Town

Kohoku new town, constructed in suburbs of Yokohama-city in high economic growth period, built Green Matrix System (GMS), systematizing open space, public accommodation site and traffic. GMS, providing still good house environment today and being inherent with the characteristic of ex-natural environments, however, could not completely structure local natural environments as aimed at the beginning of the planning.

A relationship between characteristics of natural environments and water supply and drainage network in Kozoji new town

The new town, built to respond for housing demand in high economic growth period, had been developed in hilly suburbs area. Development plans of such new towns seem to be related natural environments closely, especially to former, original landform. Kozoji New Town, located in northeast part of Nagoya metropolitan area, was one of such new towns in the hilly area. In this study, we focused on water supply and drainage system of Kozoji New Town, to examine the effect of original landform to the development plan and urban infrastructure of the NT.

Land is one of the most important natural resources; its use is determined by several factors, especially resources and infrastructure. Without proper land management and maintenance as well as after abandoning the land favourable conditions arise for land degradation. Land degradation processes are also found in road infrastructure, which are promoted by various risk factors.

Land reform in Ukraine and emergence of new private farms

Ukraine is one of the most dynamically changing agricultural countries in the world. The main factor behind the drastic changes in agricultural production is of course the Land Reform that started in 1991. Transfer of land ownership and restructuring of traditional farms created opportunities for the appearance of new farming units. Based on the survey data in Zhytomyr oblast, this paper investigates how private farms changed their farming sizes in the process of the Land Reform. This paper also discusses factors for the change and characteristics of expanding private farms.
