Land Claims and Self-Government Agreement among the Tlicho and the Government of the Northwest Territories and the Government of Canada.

The present Agreement is the first combined land, resources and self-government Agreement in the Northwest Territories. Canada, the Government of the Northwest Territories(GNWT) and the Tlicho are Parties to the Agreement. The Agreement provides the Tlicho with ownership of a single block of 39,000 square kilometres of land, including subsurface resources, adjacent to or surrounding the four Tlicho communities. The Agreement also provides for self-government. A regional Tlicho Government was created with law-making authority over Tlicho Citizens in their communities and on their lands.

Tsawwassen First Nation Final Agreement Act (S.C. 2008, c. 32).

Section 4 of the above-mentioned Act establishes that the Tsawwassen First Nation Final Agreement is approved, given effect and declared valid and has the force of law. The Act – consisting of 33 sections – addresses, inter alia, the following issues: rights and obligations, third parties, inconsistency with the Agreement, payments out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, fee simple estate, Tax Treatment Agreement, powers of Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, land management.

Tla’amin Final Agreement.

This comprehensive Agreement between Canada, British Columbia and the Tla’amin Nation is a Treaty and a Land Claims Agreement within the meaning of sections 25 and 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982. The Agreement exhaustively sets out the rights of Tla’amin First Nation, their attributes, the geographic extent of those rights, and the limitations to those rights to which the Parties have agreed.

This Act makes provision with respect to exploration for and exploitation of mineral resources, underground waters, geothermal deposits and related matters. It also empowers the Minister to regulate radioactive minerals.The Minister of Lands, Mines and Energy shall be the main administrative authority for purposes of this Act. The Act establishes a Minerals Technical Committee and a Mineral Development Fund.The Act sets out various mineral rights and the conditions at which they can be obtained.

Le présent Arrêté régit l’activité de l'orpaillage en République du Benin.L'exercice l’orpaillage (extraction et en la concentration du minerai d'or en vue de la récupération de la ou des substances utiles qu'il renferme par des méthodes et procédés artisanaux) est soumis à autorisation préalable.Par ailleurs, l'utilisation de substances explosives, de tous produits chimiques ou toxiques (cyanure, mercure, etc.) pouvant polluer les eaux souterraines, fluviales, I’ écosystème ou empêcher l'exploitation agraire des sols après les travaux est interdite.
