Afin d’améliorer la gestion des terrains contaminés au Québec, le Ministère met en œuvre la Politique de protection des sols et de réhabilitation des terrains contaminés et son plan d’action 2017 2021, cette politique s’articule autour de deux enjeux majeurs.
Le Plan pour la Gestion Intégrée de la Fertilité des Sols est un instrument à portée nationale qui a pour objectif global l’appui aux producteurs en vue de gérer efficacement la fertilité de leurs terres et de promouvoir des systèmes productifs durables et économiquement rentables.

With a view to protect and improve the agricultural environment, to prevent pollution and protect ecosystem, the Regulations are formulated. The agricultural environment is defined as including land, water for agricultural purposes, air and other factors which have an impact on the survival and development of agricultural resources.The purpose of these Regulations is to protect and improve agricultural environment, prevent and control agricultural environmental pollution and ecological destruction, rationally develop and utilize agricultural natural resources.
The Parties shall cooperate in the following areas related to environmental protection: land protection and land tenure, protection of soil, subsoil, forests, water, air, ozone layer and climate, wild flora and wild fauna.
The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the treatment of sewage sludge, biogenic waste, biowaste, and green waste on agricultural land. The text consists of 13 articles dealing with definition of terms, treatment of biogenic waste and sewage sludge, requirements of biogenic waste to be used on agricultural land, bringing into circulation, and entry into force. This Law regulates social relations related to rational management of pastures and is aimed at improvement the state and infrastructure thereof with a view of prevention of degradation of pastures. Pastures shall be classified as arid pastures, rotation (high-productive) pastures and seasonal pastures destined for seasonal grazing and transhumance. Legal status of pastures shall be determined in accordance with appurtenance thereof.
This Regulation prescribe the necessary contents of the documentation and administrative forms that are to be included when drafting/preparing the forest or forest land communication projects (such as the construction of forest road for vehicles, reconstruction of forest truck routes and tractor/trailway paths).As defined by this text, forest communications/connections are primary used for forestry purposes as well as for the needs of the local population.
