Jansatyagraha 2012

Jan Satyagraha 2012 is a movement of all those Indians (and millions of other people around the world) who dream of another India with equal opportunity, justice and peace. The Jan Satyagraha 2012 demands are that people have control over water, land and Forest. One Lakh (one hundred thousand) farmers, poor, intellectuals, youths, adivasis and dalits will travel 350 kilometers from Gwalior to Delhi to demand equal control over natural resources so that they can maintain their livelihood.

Jasil

JASIL’s Program Aim is to support  for community based  pro-poor policies and facilitate the empowerment of communities  and its Associations. JASIL has been involved in the Sustainable Management of Common natural resources in Mongolia  since 2003,  and Collaborative Learning for the Co-management of natural resources in Mongolia, since 2007, working closely with the Ministry of Nature and the Environment, Ministry of food and agriculture.

GROOTS Kenya

GROOTS Kenya is a network of women self-help groups and community organizations in Kenya. It formed as a response to inadequate visibility of grassroots women in development and decision-making forums that directly impact them and their communities. GROOTS Kenya bridges this gap through initiatives that are community-centered and women-led.

Who We Are: 

Maasai Women Development Organization (MWEDO) is a not-governmental women-led organization established in the year 2000. MWEDO empowers women to enhance sustainable equitable and human development for Maasai women through access to Education, Women Economic Empowerment and maternal health and HIV/AIDS education. MWEDO is a membership organization with over 5,000 grassroots women members from Arusha and Manyara regions of Tanzania.

Minority Rights Group International

Minority Rights Group International campaigns worldwide with around 130 partners in over 60 countries to ensure that disadvantaged minorities and indigenous peoples, often the poorest of the poor, can make their voices heard. Through training and education, legal cases, publications and the media, we support minority and indigenous people as they strive to maintain their rights to the land they live on, the languages they speak, to equal opportunities in education and employment, and to full participation in public life.

VNFU

Viet Nam Farmers’ Union (VNFU) was established in 1930. Its position is recognized in the Constitution of Vietnam 2013 and is recognized as playing a key and central role for farmer movements and new rural construction. It is organized at 4 official levels: national, provincial, district and commune level. Under the commune level, VNFU is organized into branches and under the branches, VNFU is organized into groups. At present, VNFU has over 10.5 million members working in various sectors such as agriculture, forestry, fishery, salt-making, handicraft and small industry, services.

Amerindian Peoples’ Association

APA

The Amerindian Peoples Association (APA) is a non-governmental Indigenous Peoples organisation in Guyana. It is primarily an advocacy organisation that seeks to promote and defend the rights of the Indigenous Peoples of Guyana. 

Membership of the APA is made up of Units throughout the country, currently amounting to close to eighty such units. The Association is led by an Executive Committee comprising the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, thirteen regional representatives, a women’s representative and a youth representative.
