The present Regulations enforce the Territorial Lands Act (R.S. 1985, c. T-7). The Regulations apply only to territorial lands under the control, management and administration of the Minister. Section 4 establishes that every application to lease or purchase territorial lands shall be made to the land agent for the area in which the land is situated and shall be accompanied by the application fee set out in the Schedule.

The present Act was created to provide a clear process for property owners when government needs to plan for long-term, large-scale transportation projects (like ring roads or water reservoirs). The legislation ensures landowners are consulted and fairly compensated, and gives property owners choices and options respecting their land.

This Order, made under section 16 of the Customary Courts Act, specify in the Schedule provisions of enactments customary courts shall have jurisdiction to administer. Enactments include the Branding of Cattle Act (Cap. 36:02), the Matimela Act (Cap. 36:06) and the Tribal Land Act (Cap. 32:02).

This Order, made under sections 7(2) and 12(5)) of the Customary Courts Act, establishes and recognises the customary courts listed in the First Schedule. It also defines their jurisdiction in civil and criminal cases and, for certain courts, courts also defines jurisdiction in respect of stock theft.

La presente Ley tiene por objeto promover el acceso a la propiedad, mediante un proceso especial para otorgar título de propiedad al poseedor material de bienes inmuebles urbanos y rurales de pequeña entidad económica, y para sanear títulos que conlleven la llamada falsa tradición, con el fin de garantizar seguridad jurídica en los derechos sobre inmuebles, propiciar el desarrollo sostenible y prevenir el despojo o abandono forzado de inmuebles.

This Regional Law establishes minimum and maximum dimensions of land plots, out of stock of public, including municipal, land allotted to citizens for fees and free of charge for gardening, subsidiary farming, stockbreeding and individual housing construction on condition of ownership and other tenancy conditions.

This Regional Law regulates privatization of agricultural land in permanent (open-ended) tenancy of agricultural organizations. Citizens shall be granted the right of once-only privatization of the plots of agricultural share as common land share (art. 3). Article 4 specifies categories of citizens that have the right of privatization of the plots of agricultural land.

This Act provides that an original grantee and his or hers heirs and assigns who hold land in Seychelles under a deed of concession granted by the Crown before this Act shall be deemed to hold such land in full legal ownership as if under such deed of concession and said full legal ownership of the land had been transferred by the Republic for valuable consideration without any of terms and conditions. This rule shall also apply to and to any person deriving title from such original grantee or his heirs or original assigns.

This Regional Law regulates some issues related to turnover of agricultural land, shares in common property of agricultural land, and envisages the cases of participation of municipal units in the aforesaid sphere. Privatization of agricultural land shall be effective from the date of entry into force of this Regional Law (art. 2). Minimum land area for artificially irrigated agricultural land or drained land shall be equal to field area having a separate land reclamation system but no less than 30 ha.

This Regional Law establishes maximum land parcel area destined for individual farming that can be owned or exercise other rights of use by citizens carrying out individual farming which totals 2 ha.

This Act concerns restrictions on sales and leases of immovable property to persons who are not citizens of the Seychelles. Lease or purchase by a non-citizen requires permission of the Minister. In considering such permission, the Minister shall take into consideration specified criteria including if purchase is in the interest of Seychelles. A transaction carried out without the sanction of the Minister shall be unlawful and void and rights that were subject of the transaction shall be forfeited to the Republic.

This Act concerns judicial sales of property including agricultural crop. It gives rules for the seizure and execution by way of sale. At any time, while the execution debtor remains in possession of the property seized, as judicial sequestrator, any creditor may obtain an order for the sale of part or of the whole of the crop of the said property. All sums of money which shall have been advanced by any sequestrator in accordance with the foregoing provisions shall be a privileged claim on the crop of the property.
