This Act regulates the creation of Regional Park Districts. Article 2 states that, upon receipt of a petition from the councils, trustees, or both, of two or more municipalities, the Lieutenant Governor in Council may, on the recommendation of the minister, incorporate the area of land within the boundaries of the municipalities and its residents, into a regional park district.
Indian Self Government Enabling Act ([RSBC 1996] Chapter 219).
The present Act provides for the assistance of First Nations in implementing real property taxation on reserve lands by providing two taxation models under which the Province may vacate all or some of its taxing authority over non-member occupiers of reserve lands. Landfill Gas Management Regulation (B.C. Reg. 391/2008).
The present Regulation enacts the Environmental Management Act. The Regulation applies to landfill sites that accept municipal solid waste for disposal into the landfill site on or after 1 January 2009. For the purpose of the present Regulation "landfill gas" means a mixture of gases generated by the decomposition of municipal solid waste; and “landfill gas management" includes the following: a) managing migration of landfill gas; b) collection of landfill gas; c) storing of landfill gas; d) flaring of landfill gas.
Haida Gwaii Reconciliation Act ([SBC 2010] Chapter 17).
The present Act implements commitments set out in the Kunst’aa Guu – Kunst’aayah Reconciliation Protocol between the Province and the Haida Nation, which was signed 11 December 2009. The decision-making framework provides for the establishment of a Management Council made up of two appointees by each of the Haida Nation and the Province under their respective authorities, as well as a jointly appointed Chair.
