This Regulation enacts sections 151 (2) (b) and 151.1 of the Forest Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 157. Section 2 lays down provisions relating to the establishment and listing of forest regions, and section 3 contains provisions relating to the establishment and listing of forest districts. This Act provides for the creation of a Commissioner on Resources and Environment responsible before the Cabinet (Executive Council) and who's role is fundamentally to advise on and develop a strategy for land use and related resource and environmental issues and on the need for legislation, policies and practices respecting these issues. The Commissioner also has coordination and monitoring duties and must take the interests of individuals, groups and Aboriginal peoples into account (sects. 3 and 4).

The present Regulation enacts the Land Act. The Regulation lays down provisions related to the recording of land. Section 1, 2 and 3 establish respectively that the land identified in the map attached as Schedule 1, 2, and 3 is, respectively, constituted as the Coast Region Land Recording District, the Southern Interior Region Land Recording District and the Northern Region Land Recording District. The present Regulation enacts the Assessment Act. The Regulation lays down provisions relating to the valuation of port land. In particular, section 2 establishes that an assessment roll number set out in Column 1 of the Schedule is the number on an assessment roll prepared by the British Columbia Assessment Authority for the taxation year set out opposite in Column 2. The Text consists of 4 sections as follows: Definition (1); Interpretation of Schedule (2); Designated port land and actual value (3); Actual value for 2009 and subsequent taxation years (4).
