These Regulations prescribe rules relative to the conduct and practice of land surveyors authorized to act as such under the Land Surveyors Act. The rules concern, among other things, the form and content of a survey including the marking of boundaries, the duty to report to the Surveyor General on certain matters, details of survey plans and verification of boundaries. The Regulations also set out the form of the Register of Land Surveyors, regulate the authentication of survey plans, prescribe survey fees and the form of a complaint regarding the conduct of registered land surveyors.

The authorized state institution responsible for the implementation of the present Agreement shall be the State Committee on Land Resources, Geodesy and Cartography of Belarus and the Department of Geodesy, Cartography and Land Cadastre of Ukraine. The Parties have agreed to cooperate in the following areas: (a) topography, geodesy and cartography; (b) exchange of scientific and technical information and cartographic publications; (c) training of specialists; and (d) exchange of information regarding modifications of administrative borders.

The Chapter also gives some indications for a valid survey but does not require a purchaser or mortgager to entirely rely on the defined system. The Chapter also prescribes penalties for the offence of interfering with survey marks.

This Chapter provides for the establishment of the Board of Land Surveyors Examiners of the State of Chuuk and for registration of land surveyors. The Act specifies qualifications for a person in order to become e registered land surveyor and prohibits the surveying of land by persons who are not registered with the Board.

Chapter 2 of Title 57 of the Trust Territory Code - Land Registration.

This Chapter makes provision for the survey and registration of land in the Trust Territory and provides that for this purpose there shall be a land commission in each administrative district of the Trust Territory. Each commission shall supervise surveys and proceed with the registration of as much of the land as practical within such registration areas within its district as it determines and may determine the ownership of any land in its district. Each commission shall appoint land registration teams and designate registration areas.

Chapter 3 of Title 11 of the Kosrae State Code - Land Surveyors.

This Chapter provides for the control of practice of land surveyors in the State of Kosrae by imposing the requirement of registration and qualification for such surveyors. The Chapter imposes requirements regarding training and examination of potential land surveyors. Land surveyors shall register with the Governor who shall proceed only with registration after consultation with the Land Court and the Department of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries.

This Federal Law guarantees the traditional rights of sparsely distributed indigenous peoples to protect their natural habitats, traditional ways of life, economic activities and fishing and hunting rights. An ethnic community with fewer than 50,000 persons living on ancestral land and maintaining traditional ways of life and community management shall be considered a sparsely distributed indigenous peoples.

Chapter 3 of Title 41 of the Pohnpei State Code - Land Measurement System.

This Chapter introduces the metric measurement system for the survey of land. It declares that no contract or dealing or pleading in any court shall be deemed invalid or liable to objection because the measures expressed or referred to therein are measures of the metric system. The Chapter also concerns the compensation for the supply of land markers by the Division of Surveying and Mapping and prohibits the illegal removal or altering of land marks.

Chapter 6 of Title 38 of the Pohnpei State Code - Board of Land Surveyors Examiners and Surveyors Registration Act of 1982.

This Act concerns the registration of land surveyors and for this purpose establishes the Board of Land Surveyors Examiners. The Board shall keep a Register of Land Surveyors. The Act prohibits surveying of land unless a person is registered as a land surveyor and specifies criteria for registration. The Act also provides for control of the practice of land surveying and defines sanctions for malpractice.
