The present Ordinance enforce the Ordinance on official cadastral survey of 30 March 1999. In particular, the Ordinance governs the coordination and responsibilities of the construction, operation and further development of the cantonal Spatial Data Infrastructure.

El presente Decreto tiene por objeto establecer la información que contiene la certificación catastral, las relaciones entre el catastro y los registros públicos, la participación del Instituto de Planificación Física en el estudio y asesoramiento sobre las modificaciones de los límites a la División Político Administrativa, así como el procedimiento ante las inconformidades con las informaciones que brinda el catastro.

This Regional Law delimits plenary powers between state bodies in the sphere of land relations. Authorized regional state body in the sphere of land relations shall carry out the following plenary powers: (a) management of public land; (b) participation in implementation of state land policy; (c) decision-making related to purchase of land for public purposes; (d) imposition of use restrictions on land; (e) establishment of the amount of land charges and land lease fees; (f) establishment of the modalities of land survey; and (g) decision-making related to expropriation of land.

El presente Decreto aprueba el Reglamento para el desarrollo de las disposiciones de la Ley para la fijación de límites territoriales internos, que comprende la georeferenciación de los elementos de linderación en cartografía oficial de las circunscripciones territoriales. This Regional Decree establishes the modalities of performance of municipal land control by local government. Municipal land control shall be conducted in the form of ordinary and extraordinary inspections of legal persons and individual entrepreneurs. The subject of inspection shall be checking data and information contained in the documentation related to land tenure, to ensure availability and conservation of landmarks.

This Proclamation provides establishes the Geological Survey of Ethiopia ("Survey") as an autonomous federal government organ having its own juridical personality. The Survey shall be accountable to the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The objective of the Survey shall be to undertake studies and surveys about the earth's crust and mineral contained in it, applying earth science techniques and to prospect for, explore, and, as the case may be, estimate and delineate mineral deposits. It shall, among other things, carry out geological mapping, prepare and publish geological maps.

The present Regulations continue under the Planning and Development Act, 2007. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the establishment of buffer zones in the subdivision of land. The text – consisting of 10 sections – deals with the following matters: designation of dedicated lands on plan of subdivision, buffer strips, leases, additional uses of public reserves and municipal reserves, lease by a council that is an approving authority, moneys received concerning dedicated lands, exemption, easements density and Northern Saskatchewan.

The Action Plan of Combating Erosion is a national plan with a sectoral approach. The timeframe of the Action Plan is 5 years between 2013 and 2017.

This Decree of the Ministry of Environment defines the duties of the Land Survey Office. The Office shall, among other things, be the national authority for information on immovable property and shall be responsible for the land cadastre. It shall also be responsible for matters regarding geography, geodesy and boundaries.

Section 2 (definitions) is amended by adding definitions of "boundary", and "plot". Section 3 is amended by providing anew for the power of the Government to issue orders for the measurement and survey of lands and the correction of mistakes in survey by the Survey Officer. Section 4, here amended, concerns the calculation of the area of land. A new section (5A) prescribes that Government and other public lands are to be surveyed and mapped first.
